A Walk Through the Vineyard with Winemaker/Geologist Mike Hallock - Closed for the 2024 Season - 2025 Dates to be Released Soon

Many of our guests at Carabella Vineyard have told me that our vineyard walk and tasting is something completely different from the usual tasting room experience. The sweeping view of the Willamette Valley and five snowcapped volcanos is what I call “a good day at the office”. We will explore the volcanic geology and sustainable viticulture that defines my wines. You can take a firsthand look at the native cover crop restoration and check on how the famous Mistake Block pinot noir is faring this vintage.

We will head back through Dijon clone chardonnay and pinot noir blocks to a tasting in the shade of the locust grove, with local charcuterie and cheese selections to match the limited small lot Library wines I will uncork for you, as well as my current releases. The differences among the various blocks and clones still fascinate me. Comfortable walking shoes recommended!

The tour and tasting last approximately one-and-half to two hours. Pre-paid appointments at 11:00am and 2:30pm are available seven days per week. Advanced reservations of at least 48 hours are required so that we may prepare for guests. The reservation fee of $400 includes tour, tasting and charcuterie offerings for up to six guests. All of the prepaid fee may be applied to purchases made after you finish your tasting and conversations.

You may make your reservation through Tock by clicking the Book now button below. Should you have any questions please
email us or call 503-925-0972.

Please note that all reservations are 100% outdoors and thus are weather dependent. Should we need to cancel a reservation due to weather we will contact you to make arrangements.

Our tastings are held in our working vineyard for their safety pets and children are not allowed.
